Black Hole: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Charles Burns made the big time this weekend with his Black Hole graphic novel in the film, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The quasi-underground graphic novel is a collection from the comic book series by the same name. Geeks were rejoicing when they were able to identify the classic graphic novel.  It already enjoys considerable sales as a top graphic novel. I am sure that it will get a bump in sales from the non geek crowd in the next few weeks.

Black Hole centers around a group of adolescents in 1970s America who fall victim to a sexually transmitted infection which causes random physical mutations.  Burn's new book, Sugar Skull, is out this September. Perfect timing I would say.
